Construction Management Services for the Girl Scouts of Orange County Leadership Center
APP is providing project management, construction management and public outreach for the Girl Scout Leadership Center project. Plans call for an approximately 4,100-square-foot facility and 2,000-square-foot patio constructed in the City’s Marina Park on oceanfront land at 200 18th Street. APP has been overseeing construction of the new building and site utilities and other improvements, including hardscape, landscape and irrigation. The project was designed and constructed in compliance with the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) LEED Silver certification standards.
During construction, APP has provided recommendations and coordinated with the design team to develop solutions to discrepancies between the plans and actual site conditions. APP has also managed community relations and assisted the Girl Scout chapter with public outreach activities, such as monthly resident notification flyers to keep the public informed of the project status, schedule and any construction-related impacts.
The center will provide Orange County Girl Scouts with a venue to embrace challenges, explore 21st century careers and take on projects to improve local communities and the world.
